Making old look new!
A new lamp shade price is $75 dollars. Instead of buying a new shade for the lamp, I dissembled the one I have, dust it and cleaned it with gentle cleaning agents. My sister drew some flowers and vine with Oil based crayons to make it vibrant.
Putting it back together I used the same wrapping of course cleaned.
You can use other wrappings (along with the original) that you would find fruit and gifts baskets wrapped and decorated with, blend the colours in proportion so they would compliment each other. Now my once old looking lamp became new by cleaning and changing the shade colour and added art work.
A project that helped decorated the house caused us to work together and save money.
You can save money this way too, spend time with your family, having fun, by doing these small chores and making it adventurous in the house, and creating cleaning habits and skills.
Be open minded with colours especially with children, colours are good even black.
Black is beautiful.
Mix colour is beautiful too.
It's not what you don't have. It's what you have that matters most so make good use of it.
Don't focus on the haves nots, but see the potential in every grain.
I just finish putting the lamp back together a few minutes ago am just sharing.
We are on the journey together.
