Freedom From Addiction

Lord Jesus you came to preach the gospel to the poor heal the broken hearted preach deliverance to the captive and recovering of sight to the blind. You have also promises to set at liberty those who are hurting bruised and battered I acknowledge that my addiction______________________ has made me captive and and has hinder me in many ways

More than that lord you know that this addiction is really not the root of my problems it is only a symptom of the real root which is my hurt rejection bitterness resentment and lack of self esteem and love for myself etc.

I know this is not your will for me to be captive to any addiction and that you desire to be Lord in every area of my life. I ask you to come in power and deliver me now as I pray.

Lord every sin in my life that opened the door to this addiction show it to me so I may confess and repent any un-forgiveness, bitterness, or judgement of others any evil speaking, hatred of others or towards myself any wrath sinful anger, jealousy or any other sins forgive me and reveal to me what I did not confess and so I can confess them as well and that I may be healed.

Thank you for your forgiveness for these sins thank you Lord for cleaning me from all unrighteousness by your blood.

If there are any unhealed wounds or hurts in my life that are doorways for this addiction show them to me so I may confess and  close those doors, bring healing and I receive it in Jesus name

Lord I repent specifically of the sin of this addiction of ________ I renounce it now Lord I realises that repentance prepares the way for you to work in my life because you are my Lord the power of sin and addiction is broken from over my life

At the name of Jesus every knee must bow including the knee of addiction because I was buried with Jesus in his death and raised with Christ Jesus in His resurrection.  I can now walk in newness of life I am alive to God no more slave to sin

Lord you resist the proud and give grace to the humble.  I humble myself before you now I come boldly to your throne of grace.  I ask for grace to help me in this time of need.

Father I ask you to intervene in my life strengthen me by your Spirit in my inner man Now as I pray your word I know I receive your healing that you sacrificed your life to give me life and deliver me and making me new your mercy surrounds me, your loves empowers me, you are my lord and I submit my life totally to you.
